DESPITE having her first run at Flemington, the world's best turf horse proved too strong yet again, absolutely demolishing her rivals by over six lengths.
In a breathtaking run over the 2000 metres, Winx silenced critics who said she wasn't travelling as well this preparation.
A field of just seven runners was gathered for the Group 1 Turnbull Stakes, with Winx sent out at prohibitive odds of $1.20.
Humidor, who comfortably defeated Hartnell at his last run, was considered the only chance to ending her amazing run, however he couldn't match it with the champion, sitting behind her in the run.
Winx was put to sleep by jockey Hugh Bowman in the run, settling in fifth as Magicool set the tempo.
However it was apparent as soon as they turned for home that Australia's champion was in no danger, as she ambled up to the leaders and put them away in the space of two strides.
The win was dominant on the line, with Bowman hardly having to feel for her, coming away to win with ease by six and a half lengths from Ventura Storm and Humidor in third.
Winx will aim to create further history as she looks to claim her third successive Cox Plate at Moonee Valley on October 28.
