Wolves end with two wins and draw

WARWICK Wolves started the season with two wins and a draw against City in Stanthorpe football at Queens Park.

Matt Carey scored two goals for Warwick and James Hughes one.

Coach Jon Pearson was not over impressed with the first up performance.

"Dan King played solidly again and Rob Davey had a good game," Pearson said.

Warwick drew 2-all with City in the women's.

The Wolves look set for a much-improved season with a young women's team and a bit of experience.

In the colts, Gift Lisie scored a treble and Sam McLennan a double in Warwick's 6-0 win against City.

Will Gordon scored one for a team which won last year's senior colts premiership in Stanthorpe.

Pearson also coaches the colts and said his side went well with only 10 men.

"We had four of our key players out today," Pearson said.

Warwick hosts Carlton at Queens Park on Saturday in three games.
