Wolves in crucial game at Queens Park in the football
FOOTBALL: The Warwick Wolves will host Rockville on Saturday night at Queens Park from 7pm.
Wolves president Cameron Davey said it was a must-win game for a team determined to make the top four in premier men's in the Football Toowoomba competition.
"We had good numbers at training on Tuesday and Thursday night,” Davey said.
While it is easier to field a strong team at a home game, the Wolves will be without Ben O'Dea, Jayden Webb and Saxon Charles.
Goalie Alek Ebneter is also out but will be replaced by experienced keeper Shannon Cameron, who is also playing Aussie rules this season.
The Warwick women have a number of players out and have forfeited.
THE Brisbane Roar club will be in Warwick on Tuesday to put on a coaching clinic for players aged 6-14 years.
The Roar will bring their inflatable pitch to Queens Park and it will be used for some of the training.
The clinic will take place from 5-7pm Tuesday and all bookings must be made on the Roar website.
There is a limit of 40 participants so parents are asked to register children as soon as possible.
THE Warwick Wolves annual carnival on July 22 is expected to attract almost 400 players.
Warwick will field a number of teams in the all-day affair.
The call has gone out for referees and volunteers prepared to help with the barbecue.
Club football will return after the holidays on July 21.
New player always welcome to join, parents welcome to talk to officials at the match office early on July 21.
