Wolves narrowly miss out on win

THE Warwick Wolves were unlucky in the dying minutes of their game at Queen's Park yesterday as Robbie Davey missed a goal which would have secured a victory. Instead the Wolves drew 2-2 against Willowburn.

The score was 2-1 in favour of Warwick with a few minutes to go in their first-division men's game when Willowburn scored.

Wolves defence was solid and their attack strong.

Ricky Sinkins and Nick Lockley scored for the Wolves.

In the third-division men's game at Queen's Park the Wolves went down 2-1 in their match against South Hawks.

In the ladies first-division game in Toowoomba the Wolves lost 5-0 to South Hawks.

Wolves striker Kelly Dargan said she was proud of the girls.

“They had 16 players and we were seven. We finally ran out of steam,” she said.
