Wolves show courage yet again in Toowoomba football

FOOTBALL: Rob Davey scored a goal and was the best of the Warwick Wolves in a 2-1 loss to West Wanderers in premier football in Toowoomba on Sunday.

Coach Jon Pearson was high in praise of his premier team which included eight players backing up after also playing in the reserves game.

"They did extremely well,” he said.

West Wanderers scored first in premier division and then Davey equalised in the first half.

Warwick went down 6-0 in reserves.

Chris Wall played his first game on the season for the Wolves at the weekend.

Warwick will play USQ at home at Queens Park on Saturday night with games at 5pm and 7pm.

Any new players welcome to training at 6.30pm Tuesday and Thursday at Queens Park. Players who sign up now can play this weekend.

The first football of the weekend will be a Warwick Wolves colts game against Highfields at Queens Park at 7pm Friday.
