UPDATE: TWO children and a mother are in a serious condition in hospital after an horrific multiple stabbing at a home in Brisbane on Sunday morning.

Police responded to an emergency call at about 6.30am on Sunday, to find a 39-year-old woman, a nine-year-old girl and seven-year-old each with multiple stab wounds.

A 41-year-old man, believed to be a family member, was taken into custody for questioning.

He is scheduled to appear before the Brisbane Magistrates Court tomorrow.
