Woman charged with attempted murder from overnight incident

A 42-YEAR-OLD woman has been charged with attempted murder following an incident in Rockhampton overnight.

It will be alleged around 7.35pm police were called to a West Street residence following reports of a disturbance.

A 39-year-old man was located inside the home with two stab wounds to his chest and was transported to Rockhampton Base Hospital before being flown to Brisbane in a critical condition.

A 42-year-old Allenstown woman was been charged with one count of attempted murder is due to appear in the Rockhampton Magistrates Court today.
