Woman denies three charges as assault trial begins

A WOMAN standing trial for the alleged assault of two people and wounding of another has pleaded not guilty to all three of her charges at Warwick District Court.

Kaitlyn Maree Brown, 21, is charged with two counts of common assault and one count of wounding.

The charges relate to incidents that allegedly occurred in Warwick on March 30 last year.

The Toowoomba woman's court proceedings got under way this morning, with a jury of seven men and five women empanelled to deliver a verdict.

The case was adjourned after the jury was assigned and will resume at 10am tomorrow.

Multiple witnesses are expected to be called to give evidence throughout the trial, including police officers and a doctor.

The trial is expected to run at the courthouse until Friday.
