Woman freed from beneath train, services delayed
A WOMAN stuck under a train at Brisbane's Eagle Junction station on the city's north side is understood to have been taken to Royal Brisbane Hospital.
Detail of her injuries and age are yet to be formally released by Queensland Police Service.
Media reports out of Brisbane suggest the woman to be in her 30s and to have suffered leg injuries.
The incident is already causing delays of up to 40 minutes, which Queensland Rail is attributing to "a police incident" at the station.
Trains on the Airport, Caboolture, Doomben, Shorncliffe and Sunshine Coast lines have now resumed through Eagle Junction, according to a statement released by Translink.
Customers are still likely to be delayed.
In the statement, Translink said those on the Airport and Doomben lines could expect delays of up to 40 minutes.
"Alternative transport buses are currently being arranged for travel from Eagle Junction to Doomben within the next 10 minutes.
"Caboolture, Shorncliffe and Sunshine Coast line passengers can expect delays of up to 15 minutes."
