Woman rushed to hospital after Leslie Dam storm

AMBULANCE staff transported a woman to Warwick Hospital at 4:45pm yesterday when a horrendous storm hit campers at Leslie Dam.

The storm cell swept through the campsite quickly, catching campers preparing for New Year's Eve by surprise.

The campsite was largely destroyed as winds in excess of 110 km/h lifted tents and brought down trees.

The woman, whose age is unknown, reportedly suffered an arm injury when a tent fell on her during the storm.

She is believed to be in a stable condition.
