Woman stuck in flooded creek
A WARWICK woman was pulled to safety this morning when her ute became stuck in floodwaters.
Queensland Fire and Rescue Services spent half an hour freeing the woman - aged in her 40s - when her white Mazda utility was stuck at the Glengallan Creek crossing on Kirklands Road off Willowvale Road.
It is believed the woman's ute may have stopped while she was attempting to cross the bridge, with floodwater in the engine causing it to stall.
The woman dialled triple-0 from her vehicle shortly before 10am and was taken by ambulance to Warwick Hospital for precautionary measures about 11am.
A witness to the rescue said the vehicle shifted slightly as emergency crews attempted to retrieve the woman.
"The water was very rapid over the concrete roadway," he said.
