Woman trapped under car at Deception Bay

UPDATE: 3.20PM

ROSS Knight heard yelling outside his Jesse Court address home and went out to find his 70-year-old neighbour trapped underneath a vehicle.

With the help of his young daughter Ross was able to jack the car up.

"I lifted it up so it was not on her and talked to her," Ross said.

He then called the ambulance and stayed with the woman until they arrived.

"The ambos only took a couple of minutes with the firies right behind them," he said.

Ross took the incident in his stride and said his neighbour was talking to him and asked him to call her son.

The woman has been taken to Royal Brisbane Hospital in a serious condition. Further investigation is underway with forensics on scene.

UPDATE 2.45PM:

THE woman has now been freed and is being transported to Royal Brisbane Hospital in a serious condition.

UPDATE 2.30PM:

FIVE ambulance crews and two fire crews are currently working to free the woman.

Police and forensics are also on the scene.

EARLIER:

A 70-YEAR-OLD woman is trapped under a car at a Jesse Court residence in Deception Bay.

A QFES spokesperson said three crews were currently on the scene after they were called at 1.15pm.

Extrication was currently underway but it was uncertain whether the jaws of life would need to be used.

The woman has sustained significant injuries.
