Work experience job adds up to fun

LAST week, students from Warwick high schools completed work experience programs.

Michaela Knapp spent the week at Globe Accounting.

Throughout the week, she took on tasks such as file compilation, book binding, mailing cheques and lodging tax returns.

"I would definitely recommend work experience to everyone," she said.

"It definitely helps you to discover what you would like to do for a career."

Michaela said she would like to work in administration when she was older.

"I chose accounting because it's a part of admin work and I thought I'd try it," she said.

"It's much easier than I thought it would be."

Michaela was also surprised with the challenges and tasks she was set during the week.

"I didn't think I'd be doing things with tax," she said, "but I did do a little bit."
