Work on Cunningham's Gap this week
DRIVERS heading to Brisbane this week should allocate a little extra time due to roadworks on the uphill lane of Cunningham's Gap.
Motorists have been warned by the Department of Transport and Main Roads to expect minor delays each weekday to March 27.
They also advised that weather, site and contractor conditions can impact on work schedules, delaying start and finishing dates.
TMR made it clear last week that if the work was extended, Cunningham's Gap would remain fully open during the Easter long weekend.
There will also be roadworks this week in daylight hours on Freestone Rd, between Ogilvie Rd and Freestone Creek Rd.
TMR has contracted Shamrock Civil Engineering, of Brisbane, to reconstruct nearly 3km of road surface damaged in the 2010-2011 floods.
Work is expected to be completed in late May, weather permitting.
Night work is on this week in Albion St between the Alice and Wood St intersections.
There will be day works on Willow St, Killarney, between 6am and 6pm, from Monday to Friday this week.
