Students ready to shine at Ekka

BILL and Nancy Gross' steer, Alvin, and parader Ben Eastwell are preparing to head to the Brisbane Exhibition.

Ben, along with nine other students, is participating in the junior judging, parading, led steer and stud sections of the show.

Alvin will be judged in the led steer classes on Wednesday.

The school is showing Fred and Jesse Rowe's Droughtmasters plus three heifers from their own Droughtmaster Stud.

Several students are working with other breeds to further their experience.

In all, the students are responsible for a total of 22 animals over the next 10 days. They are prepared for the experience and confident they will be able to do their best.
