Yangan pair face drugs charges

A JOINT search operation has landed a Yangan pair with a court date after police found a sizeable quantity of drugs and cash.

Yangan and Warwick police raided a Yangan property about 10am on Tuesday.

Upon entering the property with a search warrant, police a seized up to $2600 cash, a large amount of marijuana and an assortment of drug-related items, allegedly belonging to the duo.

A 30-year-old Yangan woman was charged with 22 offences including possessing and supplying dangerous drugs.

A 35-year-old Yangan man was charged with 15 offences, including supplying and possessing dangerous drugs.

Senior Constable Nathan Burnett said the raid was a tribute to efforts of police and vigilant residents.

"It's a great win for the small community," Snr Constable Burnett said.

"We always encourage people to contact police and Crimestoppers to report any suspicious activity they believe might be drug related."

The pair are due to front the Warwick Magistrates Court on November 22.
