Yangan students take shine to leadership

YANGAN State School students are keen to develop their leadership skills.

During the leadership ceremony last term, Year 7 students were inducted into their leadership positions for 2013.

Also during the special ceremony, Year 6 students were officially introduced into the prep buddy program, which is designed to support younger students in the school.

Guest speaker Senior Constable Nathan Burnett presented students with their badges of office.

Yangan State School P&C president Colette Locke presented them with Certificates of Congratulations sent by the Member for Maranoa Bruce Scott.

Special Year 7 leaders' shirts, designed by the students, were presented by Desley Clarson.

The school community congratulates each student on receiving the honour of being a student leader and wish them all the best in their future role.
