Yangan tops with its critters

FLUFF and fun adorned school ground trees across the Southern Downs as students vied for the fuzzy crown of ultimate tree jumper creators.

With careful consideration of all entries that followed this year's theme "it's so fluffy", art gallery director Karina Devine and Tourism and Events CEO Tracy Vellacott reached the tough decision.

Yangan State School received the top award for the critter-covered tree which they made out of tuckshop milk bottles.

"Always heart-warming and delightful, especially the stories they put with them," Karina said.

Grab tomorrow's Daily News for a full spread on all the school yard tree jumpers.

FIRST - Yangan State School

SECOND - Glennie Heights

THIRD - A three-way tie between Warwick West, Central and Warwick Community Kindergarten.
