Young guns score 50s in Warwick T20 cricket
CRICKET: Tom Morris and Caleb King were the stars in the early Slade Park match in T20 Warwick cricket on Saturday.
Batting first, Rascals made 7-179 in 20 overs. Morris hit 56 off 38 balls and received good support from his brother Joe Morris who made 27.
Glen Doyle was the best of the Sovereign bowlers with 3-22 off four overs.
Sovereign scored 3-113 in their 20 overs, King finishing 50 not out.
Tim Drennert made 24 and Ben Pillar was 20 not out. With the ball, Jamie Holmes took 1-2 off three overs on top of his score of 18 with the bat.
There will be no club cricket this weekend due to the Australia Day Cricket Carnival in Warwick.
