Young woman killed in car crash

A 20-YEAR-OLD woman was killed in a single-vehicle traffic crash near Goondiwindi on Thursday night.

A Boggabilla Police spokesman said the Queensland Fire and Rescue Service and Queensland Ambulance Service were called to the incident at the Boomi-Goondiwindi Road, about 25 kilometres from Goondiwindi near the Queensland and New South Wales border about 8.30pm.

The spokesman said the 20-year-old woman was found deceased when crews arrived on scene and 24-year-old male who was also in the car was airlifted to a Brisbane hospital with a fractured pelvis.
