Your community needs you! Push to reactive SES group

THE Goondiwindi SES will be officially reactivated next week with potential volunteers urged to attend.

A meeting with be held at the Goondiwindi SES depot at the Goondiwindi Airport on the Cunningham Hwy at 6pm Monday.

Queensland Fire and Emergency Services regional manager Bob Bundy, area controller John Harrison and SES local controller Ann McGlashan will host the meeting.

New members will be signed up. The night will include inductions and training.

"Please come along and support the Goondiwindi SES group - we need you, the community needs you," an SES representative said.

"The rewards of joining a local SES group includes learning new skills, keeping fit, forming new friendships, gaining valuable qualifications, earning respect within the community, having fun and being active as part of a team."
