Zooma wins the futsal grand final
FUTSAL: In a tough fought out final and how all grand finals should be seen, Zooma took a narrow victory by one goal to win 8-7 against D Grade champions.
The game saw an excellent individual effort by Zooma goal keeper Kyle Sowden who worked tirelessly on the goal line to help his team claim their maiden grand final victory.
D Grade champion player's were gracious in defeat and played the grand final in great spirit.
It was a strong team effort by their young list of players and will be only more competitive next competition.
The battle for bragging rights on third versus fourth saw the Scorpions get out to an unstoppable lead over the Reds who were unable to bridge the gap.
The strong team effort by Scorpions and the couple of quick goals caught the Reds off guard and just shows how important it is to be ready when it comes to finals.
This put the Reds finishing the competition in fourth spot and gives the Scorpions a psychological advantage next season when they meet again.
Billygoats claimed a 9-5 victory to finish in 5th spot over CYRTQ.
It was a major fall for the Billygoats who were previous competition grand final winners and were unable to go back-to-back with the title.
CYRTQ finished off their competition with the one win which occurred early in round 4.
